As we approach the 2026 Summer School, ATCM is delighted to launch the Town and City Management Industry (TCMI) Awards.
These Awards identify the best of the best in the urban place management industry across the UK and Ireland, whether they emanate from the public, private or voluntary sectors.
New for 2026, we are expanding the awards to cover members outside of the UK and Ireland.

Awards with a Purpose
The TCMI Awards have always been purpose driven. In addition to recognising the excellent work of ATCM’s members, they also serve to support the dissemination of best practice to other towns and strengthen ATCM’s ability to undertake advocacy with the UK, Irish, Scottish and Welsh Governments, the Northern Ireland Executive and others.
There are two things to remember in relation to our awards. Firstly, we welcome awards from all practitioner members whether councils, BIDs, independent town centre partnerships, or property owners. Our criteria on cost effectiveness and scalability have been included to ensure even smaller members with more limited resources doing great work can get the recognition they deserve.
Secondly, as in previous years we are going ‘all in’ on schemes that are different from the ordinary. The scoring will be weighted towards ‘innovation’ which is worth triple points.

Application Process
There are 10 award categories in total. They are split into two groups, one group celebrating the best projects and schemes of 2025/26 and the other celebrating the best people and partnerships behind the schemes.
The award categories for specific schemes and projects are....
