16 destinations across the UK and Ireland celebrate accreditation
in Purple Flag month
ATCM is delighted to announce that St.Helens, Wigan and Worcester (pictured below) have achieved Purple Flag status for the first time. They were joined by Cambridge, Chippenham, Cork, Dublin, Leicester Square, Sligo, Watford and Weymouth, who all submitted successful full renewal submissions. Bournemouth, Killarney, Preston and Waterford were all successful with their interim renewals.
Ojay McDonald, CEO at the ATCM, said “There are now over 60 towns and cities in the UK and Ireland, dozens within Sweden, and an expansion in Australasia, who are proudly flying the Purple Flag after working hard to gain the accreditation. It is a pleasure to celebrate their success, and I wish to personally congratulate the areas on all their hard work in developing safe, vibrant and diverse evening and night time offers – all of which is achieved by strong partnerships working together in developing local night time strategies.
Congratulations to all those accredited centres.
