What is Let’s Celebrate Towns?
Let’s Celebrate Towns is a nationwide showcase, shining the spotlight on hundreds of towns across the UK that are helping businesses and communities to thrive. It is run in partnership with the British Retail Consortium.
Last year’s competition saw Towns up and down the country, from Bromsgrove to Banbridge, and Kilmarnock to Pontypridd, recognised for their achievements at a National Towns Showcase in the Houses of Parliament.
This year’s competition will spotlight leading examples of how Towns are delivering excellence in four categories:

Business Environment

People & Skills
-
Infrastructure
-
Sustainability
Two Towns per category will receive a £15,000 prize and a package of support for local businesses.

How to Apply
Towns can be entered into the competition through a relevant organisation.
These include:

Local Authorities, Town Centre Partnerships
-
Business Improvement Districts
-
Community Interest Companies
-
Chambers of Commerce
-
Local Enterprise Partnerships

A maximum of 1 entry per Town per category is permitted. Entries are submitted via the dedicated Let’s Celebrate Towns website. Towns are required to respond to three questions as part of their application, with supporting evidence encouraged.
The deadline is the 18th February.

How you can get involved Encouraging Town Participation
You can play a vital role in motivating your local authorities and community groups to apply and showcase the amazing work of people and businesses in your area. Recognition for Towns at a National Towns Showcase held in Parliament: You will have the opportunity to attend the National Towns Showcase held in Parliament on Wednesday 13th March alongside representatives of successful Towns in your area.
