About the Event
There are so many global issues at play which cities are exposed to.
Cities are working to overcome specific post-pandemic problems such as a slow return to the office, fears around the rise of anti-social behaviour and a reboot to the visitor economy. While attempting to overcome these issues, cities are now engulfed by inflationary pressures triggered by huge shortages in labour, goods, and energy which threaten business viability.
While all of this consumes our attention, in the background longer-term trends and challenges persist. The fourth industrial revolution (not least the (r)evolution of AI) and the climate crisis, each require our attention to ensure the built environment is future proof.
