As we enter the all important run up to Christmas, what prospects are there for high streets success?
With difficult cost pressures for many high street businesses, trade during the Golden Quarter is critical. In recent years, we have learned that sectors such as hospitality and leisure were becoming anchors, drivers of footfall during Christmas which retailers were benefiting from rather than the other way round. Will this be the case again for 2025? What competition are we likely to face from online shopping? And, how are other place managers working to drive footfall during November and December?
