Those responsible for management of night time economies are starting to turn the screw.   Not only is the safety of women and girls gaining greater profile, but furthermore greater efforts are being made to avoid the victim blaming. This has been underlined recently by a message from Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, targeted to men and boys across the UK capital, to play their role in ensuring women can use streets without fear.   

For this Purple Flag Forum, we discuss the latest initiatives to keep women and girls safe, with a focus on the difficult issue of communications and avoidance of victim blaming.
