About the Event
While NTE strategies often focus on the patron, the operator, or the tourist, one of the most significant night-time stakeholder groups is often less visible within traditional NTE frameworks: those experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping. For placemakers, the intersection of vulnerability and the night-time economy is a challenge that requires balancing support-led and enforcement responsibilities.
This Purple Flag Forum will explore proactive approaches to supporting the homeless community at night. This includes successful delivery models, multi-stakeholder engagement, and the operational "on-the-ground" actions that balance street-level support with urban vibrancy. We’ll be joined by Jim Roddy (City Centre Manager, Derry-Londonderry) and John Foster (Project Officer, Glasgow City Council), who will share information and learnings from their respective work on homelessness.
Join us for this meeting of the Purple Flag Forum.
This meeting is open to all, regardless of whether you have Purple Flag status or not.
