About the Event
On 22nd of June, Sir Keir Starmer announced his intention to resign as Prime Minister just two years into the job. Nearly a month later, Andy Burnham replaced him in the hot seat.
Within the first two weeks of his premiership, Andy Burnham announced business rates discounts, additional funding for mayors through devolution, and plans to limit the clustering of certain types of shop to combat clustering.
The first High Street Conversations following the summer break will explore each of these policies, their rationale, and their impact, as well as discuss the future for high streets under the new Prime Minister.
Register for the meeting here.
