The march of technology and the pandemic have combined to transform our streetscape. Together, they have contributed to an explosion in the use of food delivery apps with a range of driver related logistical and safety concerns. Regulation is unable to keep up.

These services have become a fundamental part of a hospitality sector that has felt under siege for the past few years. They are here to stay. However, is there more we can do to protect the public realm?

This session of High Street Conversations will explore the challenges posed by the quantity of food delivery drivers in the streetscape and ask what we can do to mitigate these challenges whilst still supporting the hospitality businesses.
