ATCM Scotland: Progress on Tackling Retail Crime

Following months of negative headlines, crime and anti-social behaviour has become a high profile issue. It has led to UK-wide action to tackle the problem through a partnership approach, including the creation of a Retail Crime Taskforce by Police Scotland. Is this making a difference to safety and security on the high street as well as perceptions of safety and security?

The next meeting of ATCM Scotland will explore safety and security and discuss progress in tackling a difficult issue. The meeting will also include an update on Martyn’s Law and a discussion on proposed changes to planning policy aimed at turning commercial premises into high street homes.
