ATCM Northern Ireland: How Volunteers Can Support a Safe and Clean Destination

While place management has come a long way, the operational role of developing safe and clean destinations remains one of the most important tasks we have. However, it’s growing increasingly difficult as resources for local authorities and BIDs become more and more stretched. What support can we tap into to achieve safe and clean places?

The next ATCM virtual meeting has been scheduled to coincide with the Linen Quarter BID's 'Spring Safe & Clean Week'. We will hear about the programme of activities they have in place to help improve the look and feel of the area, including:

• How Volunteer Day works, where representatives from businesses carry out litter picking, planting and painting

• Distribution of personal safety alarms

• Increasing PSNI engagement/drugs dog

• Flagship event around safety in the Night Time Economy
