The NI high street is in trouble. A mix of challenging issues mean businesses are facing a fight for survival amongst political uncertainty. Shortages in energy supply, products and skills are combining to create worrying inflationary pressures meaning a cost of doing business crisis. These inflationary pressures are also triggering a cost of living crisis that spells trouble for those businesses reliant on discretionary spend. The first ATCM meeting back following the Summer break will take a look at the challenges and the work taking place to support town centres going forward.
