ATCM North East, Yorkshire and Humber: Leveraging History to Create Great Events

Events and street animation can play a huge role in the vibrancy of a town or city centre. However, because so many places use events as a tool to connect with visitors, businesses, and the local community, how do we craft something unique that stands out from the crowd?

At this meeting of ATCM North East, Yorkshire and Humber, we head to York to learn about the excellent ‘Ghosts in the Garden’ and ‘Ghosts After Dark’ trails. Delivered through York BID, York Museums Trust and others, and drawing on hundreds of years of the city’s history, these have provided a platform for an innovative initiative to thrive, kicking off a busy Christmas period. Delegates will learn how to leverage history to create great street animation, as well as take part in a broader discussion on how best to create family-friendly destinations.
