Lincoln is a cathedral city with a ‘fresh energy and contemporary edge’ according to the Sunday Times and we are looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to lead our Business Improvement District (BID) into its 4th term and beyond.
You will help to develop a clear vision and identity for Lincoln, balancing the needs of businesses and other stakeholders to build working relationships in a strategic way.
With an annual turnover in excess of £1m and over 15 staff Lincoln Business Improvement Group (Lincoln BIG) plays a key role in the life and development of Lincoln City Centre and manages important programmes, including festivals, events, security, access schemes and in bloom. You will lead our experienced team taking overall responsibility for the management of the business plan, relationships with key stakeholders and the strategic direction of the organisation reporting to a strong board.
Our fast changing and dynamic city centre has significant investment in the pipeline and there is plenty of scope to make your mark, you will influence the new City Centre Masterplan and devise the 2020-25 BID business plan.
You will have a track record of partnership working and experience of managing staff and budgets and have highly developed communication skills. An understanding of UK and European grant funding regimes would be of assistance.
An understanding of BIDs is important as is an aptitude for the dynamics of partnership working and strategy development, but above all we are looking for someone with the personal effectiveness and ability to drive the organisation forward, develop new initiatives and help to put Lincoln on the map.
