Harrogate is a unique and special town, which boasts attractions other town centres do not possess. It is, however, not immune from the modern challenges which face all our towns and cities and needs constantly to review and develop its offer so as to maintain and improve its attraction. Businesses recently voted to set up a BID to manage the town centre and the BID board is now looking for an exceptional person to run the organisation. We are looking for someone with the enthusiasm, entrepreneurial drive and initiative to lead in the delivery of our business plan.
In anticipation of raising c. £3m over 5 years from the BID levy, the BID is aiming to undertake projects planned around 5 key themes:
1. Marketing, promotions & events
2. Access & car parking
3. Safe, clean & welcoming
4. Business plus
5. Evening & night-time economy
This high profile and challenging post will suit someone with a real passion for making things happen. Working with a small team and an active board, the successful candidate will develop and deliver a variety of projects and services, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure that successes are widely promoted. A high level of inter-personal, communication, tact, diplomacy and project management skills are required.
If you feel you have what it takes to play a pivotal role in projects that will enhance Harrogate town centre, please contact Mo Aswat in the first instance at The Mosaic Partnership on 07789792454 or email email@example.com.
