The Borough of Gedling comprises the towns of Arnold and Carlton and surrounding parishes, bordering Sherwood Forest to the north, the River Trent to the south east and the city of Nottingham to the southwest.

Economic Growth and Regeneration Manager

Department: Regeneration and Welfare
Salary: £46,662 - £48,635 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking to recruit an ambitious, dynamic and motivated Economic Growth and Regeneration Manager who has the ambition to shape strategy and drive forward initiatives and projects. We are seeking a candidate that will be able to identify opportunities that support investment, business growth and employment within the Borough and is committed to making a difference. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping, delivering and monitoring initiatives and interventions to support local business growth, skills and employment including identifying partnering and funding opportunities. This will including identifying and implementing programmes to revitalise and sustain local and town centres and areas of deprivation within the borough. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to and lead master planning exercises and the submission and management of funding bids.

We are looking for a candidate who can build positive and productive relationship and networks, who can work collaboratively whilst being focused on delivery. We are seeking a candidate with an up to date knowledge of current and relevant legislation and best practice across the function and a proven history of working in the field of economic growth and regeneration including partnership working and project delivery.

Town Centre Manager

Gedling Borough Council is seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic and creative Town Centre Manager who wants to make a difference.

The Town Centre Manager will be instrumental in shaping the vision of the Boroughs Town, Neighbourhood and Village centres. Through the engagement of local businesses and stakeholders you will be assessing the opportunities to transform these centres both through short term initiatives but also through longer term strategies. We are looking for a proactive individual who can initiate creative solutions to increase footfall and also identify and seek out opportunities to attract investment to raise business confidence. We are looking for a candidate who can build trust and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, who is resilient and tenacious with the energy to make things happen.
