About the Event
With a new government, the Autumn Budget on the 30th October could be the most consequential fiscal event in 14 years. With high public sector debt, underfunded public services and a need for investment, the government faces tough choices.
This Budget could give us clarity on the fate of UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Long-Term Plan for Towns, business rates and other taxes which could impact the high street. This ATCM North West meeting will explore the details of the Budget and the implications for funding in town centres and city centres.
We will examine the challenges around growth of food delivery services and the question marks this poses for the management of a safe streetscape. We will also provide an open forum for members to discuss opportunities and issues in their town.
