Job Title: Visitor Economy Project Manager
 
Hours: 37.5hrs with 25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holidays and contributory pension.
 
Compensation:
£35-40k depending on experience.

Job Function
This is a new role and its main function is to plan, develop and deliver visitor economy projects that support the visitor economy in the city and Cambridgeshire.
 
To take the lead on specific workstreams/projects that are primarily focused on the visitor economy to support the promotion of the city. Work with direction and guidance from the Cambridge BID CEO and Cambridge BID Board of directors and to provide support, from time to time and where required, in the development and implementation of other projects within the Cambridge BID business plan.

Lead the research and data analysis activities including our current footfall data reporting, start new activity with other data sets such as, STR data, T-Stats Data, Steam Analysis and other industry recognised reporting metrics

Support Cambridge’s response to the recent Du Bois DMO review and ensure the BID are seen part of a Tier 1 Partner.  
 
Lead Cambridge BID’s involvement with other partners in the development of a Destination Management Plan (DMP) for the city.
 
Use the above data along with customer insight data to produce reports that will support the development of visitor economy projects.
 
Work to onboard businesses to a booking engine via the Visit Cambridge website using a product like TXGB.
 
Working with visitor economy businesses and travel trade develop bookable product and experiences for Cambridge that will facilitate the visitor economy offer here being available through travel trade channels.
 
Working with visitor economy businesses and the travel trade, develop bookable products and experiences for Cambridge.
 
Develop consumer facing campaigns that will encourage more overnight and longer stays in the city.
 
Research, plan and support our attendance at key industry events that will improve relationships and visibility with the travel trade and conference, meetings and incentive organisers.
 
Support further development of activity with the travel trade and conference, meetings and incentive market.
 
Support the ongoing PR activity for Visit Cambridge as required.
 
Liaise with the BID CEO and project team to ensure joined up campaigns and activities to maximise business benefits and assist with coordination, preparation and communication for events, attending where required.
 
Maintain and update the company databases as required.
 
Attend relevant stakeholder meetings as required.
