Glasgow Launches Autism Friendly City Centre Initiative

ATCM members, Glasgow City Council, are on a mission to make the city centre the UK's most inclusive, launching their Autism Friendly City Centre Initiative.

They had a tremendous response from city centre businesses and high footfall locations ranging from transport hubs, visitor attractions, hotels, retail outlets and bars/restaurants.

Businesses committed to the project are training staff to be autism aware and making changes, often at no or minimal cost, which will make a huge impact on the objectives of the project which is to ensure they are a more inclusive city.

Even the process for logo design was inclusive and engaging, with schoolchildren contributing a total 180 ideas (click here for more information on the story behind the chosen logo).
