Cardiff and Naas are celebrating after receiving their Purple Flag and certification at the latest Purple Flag Awards night held in Naas, Ireland. They were joined by nine other areas receiving their full renewal accreditation, Cheltenham, Dublin, Dunfermline, Leeds, Leicester Square & Piccadilly Circus, Newry, Reading, Sheffield and Southend on Sea.

Ojay McDonald, CEO at the ATCM, said:

“There are now over 70 towns and cities in the UK and Ireland who are proudly flying the Purple Flag after working hard to gain the accreditation. It is a pleasure to have presented the recent awards in Naas and I wish to personally congratulate the areas on all their hard work in developing safe, vibrant and diverse evening and night time offers – all of which is achieved by strong partnerships working together in developing local night time strategies.

Congratulations to all those accredited centres.
