Bury Town Centre is already very successful, home to the Mill Gate Shopping Centre and the award winning Bury Market (best British Market 2006). Bury Town Centre is set to double its retail offer over the next two years with the exciting development of the Rock Triangle, a major mixed use redevelopment scheme.
The Bury Town Centre Partnership is a public/private sector partnership established to improve, promote and sustain the vitality, viability, and long term economic prosperity of the town centre.
A Business Improvement District (BID) for Bury Town Centre is also being developed and you will play the lead role in driving forward the promotion and development of the BID project, in close partnership with the Town Centre Management Board, and town centre business community.
Your experience is likely to come from town centre management, private sector, shopping centre management, retail or mixed use management, and/ or marketing and promotion.
This is a three year fixed term contract with extension subject to securing a successful BID vote.
Hours of work are 37 per week, with a flexitime scheme in operation. A car user allowance is payable. Ref: 1446

Shepherds Bush is a lively town centre, with enormous potential to capitalise on recent new developments and major regeneration initiatives. Can you provide the enthusiasm, vision and expertise to develop and manage this town centre?
The Shepherds Bush town centre manager will be part of the new Investment team which is working to introduce brand new business led partnerships which will transform towns and town centre management. The team comprises of 3 regeneration officers 2 town centre managers and one visitor development manager and is part of the flourishing and successful Regeneration division.
This post is offered on an initial three-year contract, with partnership funding coming from the private sector. Finance for this position, and an operational budget, are already in place, which makes this an exceptional position.
We are looking for a persuasive self-starter who has the ability to grasp how a town centre works and has excellent project development and management skills. You will play a key role in shaping the future of the town centre and you must have the necessary skills to be able to guide and influence businesses, developers and council members into working together successfully. These qualities are more important than experience as a town centre manager.
This post is career graded and the successful applicants will be offered the appropriate salary through progression and the basis of skills and experience.
