East Midlands : Events | Members | Case Studies ATCM - East Midlands
The East Midlands is at the heart of Britain. It is made up of the five 'shire' counties of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, plus the newly re-formed county of Rutland. The southernmost county, Northamptonshire, is just 50 miles from the heart of London. From there, the region stretches 100 miles north. Landscapes vary, from the flat fens of southern Lincolnshire, which has a coastline of more than 80 miles, to the Peak District national park in Derbyshire. The world famous Sherwood Forest is in Nottinghamshire, and a new National Forest is being planted in Leicestershire, while Rutland Water has an international reputation for sailing, angling and wildlife. The East Midlands England Regional Network of Town Centre Management is one of 10 such networks across the UK. The Regional Chair is Matt Corrigan, City Centre Manager in lincoln. To find out more about the regional network Matt can be contacted at matt@lincolnbig.co.uk
