Italy - AGECC (Associazione Gestione Centro Citta) - Partners
The Associazione per la Gestione del Centro Cittá (AGECC) was launched in October 2005 to support the development of TCM in Italy.
The launch of the association follows a TCM pilot in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. During the five-year scheme, partnership programmes have been developed, resulting in both Physical improvements and subsequent marketing and branding initiatives for town centres.
AGECC is dedicated to all those involved in downtown revitalisation and management in Italy. The town centre management concept, successfully developed in many European and North American cities, can be applied, when carefully adapted, to Italy by creating public-private partnerships and including every stakeholder in the community, so that common and coordinate actions can be taken for our downtowns. Entering an international network of experts, associations and towns that have been experimenting work methods and techniques in town centre management, may help your town plan an innovative strategy and develop a common vision shared by all local stakeholders!
