Belgium AMCV (L Association du Management de centre ville)
The AMCV is the initiator of the concept of " downtown area management " in Belgium. Created in 1997 to remake our cities of the centers of life, it includes the private and public sectors as well as local associations of downtown area management and cities eager to set up this mode of management of urban space.
Downtown Area Management... To remake our cities of the centers of life! The concept carried by the AMCV is the development and urban management in public-private partnership. This last consists in joining together all sectors of the downtown area in order to take common actions and co-ordinate activity, which allows the creation of an environment favourable to economic and social development.
The AMCV it is thus: - a state of mind - a role of mediation - the implementation of a dynamic project requiring the mobilization and the implication of all sectors concerned - the taking into account of local conditions
A thorough knowledge of the urban situation
A multidisciplinary approach - a thorough knowledge of traditional trade and distribution - a long-term engagement with our partners
