Arts & Business

A&B aspires to be the world's most successful & widespread creative network. We help business people support the arts & the arts inspire business people, because good business & great art together create a richer society. Our purpose is to enable business and its people to be more successful by engaging with the arts and to increase resources for the arts from business and its people.

“Arts & Business is delighted to be involved in such an important scheme which can benefit hundreds of thousands of urban dwellers and visitors by bringing a cultural experience to them in the everyday environment. It is evident that the arts have benefited many town centre initiatives and we look forward to working with town centre managers to build on this trend”.

Colin Tweedy, Chief Executive, Arts & Business

Financial Support
Arts & Business receives funding from Arts Council England (ACE) to invest in mutually beneficial partnerships between business and the arts. Our incentive programme aims to develop sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships between business and the arts – encouraging business to try something new with the arts, generating increased benefits for all.

Since April 2000, Arts & Business has invested over £15.5million in 2,096 creative projects across the UK. These projects have levered nearly £31million in cash sponsorship and nearly £8million sponsorship in kind – a gearing ratio of £1: £2.48.

The retail sector has accounted for over 10% of these investments with over £1.2m being invested directly into arts projects with established retailers such as Selfridges, John Lewis, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and many more, including a host of local retailers keen to harmonise arts and business activities.

Identifying Partners
Arts & Business provides customised services to our business members to help them find and develop a sustainable relationship with an arts organisation or artist.

Evaluation
Arts & Business provides evaluation services to our business members to measure the return on investment of their arts partnership.
