The ATCM is Europe's largest membership organisation concerned with the
creation, development and management of vital and viable town and city centres.
Our aim is to identify and disseminate innovation and good practice,
provide professional development programmes, undertake research and advocacy.
Town and city centre management (TCM) operates by creating partnerships
of shared resources, ideas and commitment that unite and benefit all stakeholders;
taking an holistic approach to traditional public and private sector divisions
as well as involving the less influential. In doing so, it aims to build
environments that are healthy, sustainable and socially inclusive. We believe
that the arts can play a key role in the regeneration and renewal of our
towns and city centres and would like to share good practice from successful
schemes in the UK and encourage partnerships to include arts projects in
their plans.
There are many case studies showcasing exemplar projects
on our website www.atcm.org
